Location
We
teach out of the
Browns Ravine Marina on Folsom Lake
in Northern California. Folsom Lake is located about 15 miles east
of Sacramento in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. We provide lessons
on our boat on Folsom Lake and we provide private instruction on your
boat throughout Northern & Central California (including the Delta area).

• When coming from Sacramento, take HWY 50 East towards Lake
Tahoe. Get off at the El Dorado Hills Blvd exit and loop around under
the free way. You are now on El Dorado Hills Blvd and going in the right
direction. Go 3.6 miles to Green Valley Road (stop light) and make a left.
Your second right turn will be the entrance to Folsom Lake (Brown's Ravine
Marina). Turn in there and follow almost all the way back to the Marina and look for our Super
Air Nautique with the LAUNCH logo.
• When coming from South Lake Tahoe, take HWY 50 West
towards Sacramento. Get off at the El Dorado Hills Blvd exit-exit number
30. Next make a right turn onto El Dorado Hills Blvd, away from the
freeway. Go 3.6 miles to Green Valley Road (stop light) and make a left.
Your second right turn will be the entrance to Folsom Lake (Brown's Ravine
Marina). Turn in there and follow almost all the way back to the Marina and look for our Super
Air Nautique with the LAUNCH logo.
• Once In Folsom Lake: After going past the pay booth at the
entrance to Browns Ravine, you will go straight for about 1/2 mile to
the marina. You will see a parking lot on the left side of the road, this
is where we will be meeting and launching from. We are easy to find, just
look for the blue and white Super Air Nautique with the LAUNCH logo.
• Folsom Lake Entrance Fee: If you do not have a season pass
to get into the lake (or a state recreation pass), they charge an entrance fee. The price for a
single
vehicle is $7 and an additional $8 to bring in your boat. These fees are
collected by the state and are not included in the lesson price.
